Isoeugenol Oil Used In Flavor Cas.97-54-1


Isoeugenol is a phenylpropene,a propenyl-substituted guaiacol. A phenylpropanoid,it 

occurs in the Essential Oils of plants such as ylang-ylang.It can be synthesized from eugenol and has been used in

 the manufacture of vanillin.It may occur as either the cis or trans isomer.Trans isoeugenol is crystalline while cis isoeugenol is a liquid.



Appearance: pale yellow micro smell like cloves thick liquid.


Solubility: insoluble in water and glycerol, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol.

 

China GB 2760 ~ 1996 provides for the temporary use of food Flavors.

 

Isoeugenol oil is mainly for the preparation of ham, fumigation and spices and other

flavor, Isoeugenol is also a wide variety of fruit flavor,such as banana, raspberry, strawberry, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, peach, nuts, apricots and other flavor.

 

Isoeugenol is  the raw material for synthetic vanillin.

 

Isoeugenol oil is intermediates in the flavor.
